Adopt the Taxpayer Transparency Act (Priority Bill of Executive Board)
| Description: |
Taxpayers Transparency Act. Require the Legislature to develop a searchable Web site detailing state fund expenditures. Information for each expenditure would include: the name and location of the recipient; the amount expended; the type of transaction; the funding or expending agency; the budget program source; a description of the expenditure's purpose; tax credits issued as part of state tax incentive programs. The State Treasurer's office would be responsible for compiling and maintaining the site which is to be operational by Aug. 1, 2010. The bill passed 40-0-9.
