Seeds for Change

The Seeds for Change program helps low income families and individuals with needs that can’t be met by the Center for People in Need’s regular programs. The program matches a family’s needs with people in the community who can fulfill those needs. Become inspired and see how small acts of kindness can make a huge difference in the lives of others.

Click on Stories of Need to learn about families who are desperately in need of our help today. Needs range from basic winter clothing, help with electrical bills, helping them with a car repair so they can get to their job, and anything in between. Stores of Need are compiled from clients of the Center for People in Need.

Donate either online or by mailing a check. When donating, please specify in the memo the donation is specifically for the Seeds for Change program – either online or by check – otherwise the donation will go towards other Center for People in Need programs. Cash donations will be applied directly to the family’s rent, utilities, etc. No cash will be given directly to the family. Funding priorities will be based on guidelines in development. You can either donate to the program to help any family in need or donate to a specific family (please note that on your check, example: Seeds for Change-Smith family).
