Mother’s Day/Father’s Day
The Center for People in Need provides children with gifts to give their parents for Mother’s and Father’s Day. Volunteers help children select and wrap gifts while their parents wait. The events are usually held the weekend before the holiday.
A Day in the Outdoors
Children from low-income families are able to attend A Day in the Outdoors day camp in June. The camps are from 9:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m., lunch included. Activities include archery, crafts, nature, games, sports, water games and s’mores.
