Class Schedule

Basic computer skills classes are now being offered the first four Saturdays of the month at no cost. These classes are mainly for people who have little or no computer skills, no prior computer knowledge necessary! Classes last between 60 and 90 minutes

First Saturday:

10:00 a.m., Keyboarding (learn the keys, the home row, self-paced lessons);

noon, Using Email (create an email account, sending email, responding to an email, adding attachments).

Second Saturday:

10:00 a.m., Computer Terms (learn hardware from software, what’s a bit and byte?, what’s RAM and ROM?;

noon, Writing a Resume (Why you need one, what information is included, formatting the document).

Third Saturday:

10:00 a.m., Using Windows I (how to turn a computer on/off, learn about the desktop, using a mouse;

noon, Word Processing (writing a document, formatting the text, using fonts, spell checking).

Fourth Saturday:

10:00 a.m., Using Windows II (creating folders, using Windows accessories, managing your discs, anti-virus software, application software;

noon, Spreadsheets (creating a worksheet, navigating cells, using formulas, formatting data).
